Rippa Rugby with Matua Kelly

Today we were lucky enough to have Matua Kelly come in from Sport BOP to teach us some Rippa Rugby skills. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed learning these skills especially when we are having a Whakapoungakau inter class Rippa Rugby tournament at the moment! We started by playing a game where we had to pick up the ball only when Matua said the word "ball". It was an elimination and tested our listening and reaction skills! We also played a game where we had to get into a boys circle and girls circle and follow Matua's instructions such as jump left, or right, in or out. We then had to do the opposite of what he called out! Some of us found this tricky. Lastly we played a game of Rippa Rugby which we are proving to be very good at.
